i have had a wonderful time with daddy and mummy during our stay in Bali! this is definitely a trip to remember cos it is the first time i travel on a plane (a SQ to be exact..hee). our pool villa is pretty kool with a sea view. we also hv our very own personal butler (tho nothing compared to daddy's trip to maldives at One&Only and Soneva) and not forgetting to mention the FOOD was yummy gd...hehee. again, don't mean to be a tease but we had foie gras, palm-sized scallops, black angus beef, lobsters, tuna tataki etc etc... and guess wht? the bill for food came to a whooping of 1.42million rupiah (not including villa stay)!

now, am so looking forward the next trip with my folks again and soon... i hope :)

Yeap, he is my little brother Liam, at 1 wk old... hmm... not so 'little' after all... weighing at 3.6kg at birth! Btw, dad n mum were too busy to update the blog... u know the usual excuse of 'not enuff sleep lah, tis lah tat lah... blah..blah'.

Like moi, he got double eyelids and dimple too..... ok ok he oso got taller nose bridge and fairer complexion. Jealous? Sibling rivalries? no way cos he is my brother :)

Question: 'Daddy, how old is Doraemon?'

Daddy adjusted his spectacles and said: Doraemon is a Japanese manga series created by Hiroshi Fujimoto. The series is about a robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a schoolboy, Nobita Nobi.

In fact, Doraemon is sent back in time by Nobita Nobi's great-great grandson Sewashi to improve Nobita's circumstances so that his descendants may enjoy a better future. In the original timeline, Nobita experienced nothing but misery and misfortune throughout his life. As a result of this, Nobita's failures in school and subsequently, his career, have left his family line beset with financial problems. In order to alter history and better the Nobi family's fortunes, Sewashi intended to send a "super robot" to aid Nobita, but due to his meager allowance (beacause of the family's financial problems), all he could afford was a 22nd-century toy - Doraemon - and a factory reject at that.

Doraemon is not a true robot - rather, he is more like a cyborg: a former cat placed in a robotic body and endowed with human intelligence. He has a large, pouch-like compartment in his stomach from which he produces many gadgets from the future; the drawer being something of a 4th-dimensional "doorway" between the present age and the 22nd century. Although he can hear perfectly well, Doraemon has no ears: shortly after becoming a robot, his robotic ears were eaten by a mouse, giving him a series-long phobia of the creatures.

The stories are formulaic, usually focused on the everyday struggles of fourth grader Nobita, the protagonist of the story. In a typical chapter, Nobita comes home crying about a problem he faces in school and/or the local neighborhood. After hearing him out, Doraemon always offers helpful advice to his problem(s), but that's never enough for Nobita, who is consistently looking for the "quick, easy" way out (which offers insight to the viewers as to why Nobita's life turned out the way it did). Finally, after Nobita's pleading and/or goading, Doraemon produces a futuristic gadget out of his aforementioned pouch to help Nobita fix his problem, enact revenge, or flaunt to his friends.

Nobita usually goes too far, despite Doraemon's best intentions and warnings, and gets into deeper trouble than before. Sometimes, Nobita's friends (usually Suneo or Jaian) steal the gadgets and end up misusing them. However, by the end of the story, there is usually retribution to the characters who end up misusing them, and a moral lesson is taught.

A majority of Doraemon episodes are comedies with moral lessons regarding values such as honesty, perseverance, courage, family and respect for elders. Several noteworthy environmental issues are often visited, including homeless animals, endangered species, deforestation, and pollution. Topics such as dinosaurs, the flat earth theory, wormhole traveling, Gulliver's Travels, and the history of Japan are often covered.

He concluded by saying: And the answer to u question is....the series first appeared in December 1969, when it was published simultaneously in six different magazines. In total, 1,344 stories were created in the original series.

Daddy jumped with delight when Singtel introduced the iPhone 3G. Touted to hv faster 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, and the new App Store (btw daddy is a mac geek).

In addition, dad said tt it combines three products in one - a revolutionary phone, a widescreen iPod, and a breakthrough Internet device with rich HTML email and a desktop-class web browser.

But....wht is life w/o dilemma. Which of cos doesn't surprise me. He is torn between the iPhone and the new Nokia N96.

In my yellow Lamborghini filtering out from Exit19 on to CTE. From my side mirror i noticed a 18-wheeler closing in, determined to stay ahead i floored the accelerator to...280mph. Suddenly, the car skidded and spun 720 degree....... i heard a deafening screeching from a distant b4 realising that i am actually reciting the Benz's radio Ad. Heheehe

Mummy has introduced cheese into my diet....and i am loving it. She said tt cheese is very good for baby and provides calcium, "good" fats and protein too! And is introducing cheese by first offering the lighter tasting cheeses (Colby, Jack, American) as well as offering cottage cheese! Yummy :)

Side notes: If your baby has a known or suspected dairy allergy (either a milk protein or lactose intolerance) then you should wait to introduce cheese and other dairy when your infant is older. At the corner of my eyes, i saw a man at the our gate with his cap down low and armed with a hand held...computer register. I may not know who he is but from his purple & orange logo polo shirt, i certainly can make out the purpose of his visit. *my cold sweat is running down my forehead*

The autogate gently slides open and reveal the 3 cartons (life-sized, mine) stood there like the Mt Everest. And i'm suffocating...at that 'magnitude'. When i next recollect my thoughts, i can sense a chill down my spine....for i know many of superheroes may already perished in our operation 'Desert-Chanel-Storm'. It looks like we hv failed to eradicate the MSSS - aka Mama Shopping Spree Syndicate.

In the living hall, Daddy and i exchanged looks. Those despair in our eyes summarizes our defeat.

Meanwhile, mummy is swinging to the song of victory. Ripping ribbons and opening up boxes and boxes of loots tt were meticulously bubble wrapped and cushioned with styrofoam.

Constantly showering me with lots of XOXO like Energizer bunny. In return, w/o fail i too will always lean forward to give mum & dad a kiss when they r back to granny's place to pick me up from work. What better way to end the day then hving lots of hugs & kisses in the family?

Mummy said that i wore out the usual fabric shoes too fast and it wld be worthwhile to buy Crocs (@ US$24.99)

In addition, they r comfortable, kool, hv orthotic foot bed, advanced toe-box ventilation sys, slip-resistant, non-marking soles, anti-microbial, odour resistant, bouyant, micro-lite, ergonomic italian styling, made of PCCR material etc. Btw, i am not promoting and hv no relations with Crocs what-so-ever... but of cos i will welcome them to engage me as their spokesperson.

Daddy was directing a photoshoot for a magazine cover at the Scape Park last Sat and he spotted a young ang mo boy skate-boarding. He cldnt resist and had to have the photographer take a pix of him.

He was so impressed with his skating ability (esp at at such young age currently 5 yr old, started at 3) that he had to share with every1 at home abt him after the shoot.

Boys...will always be boys! Yo.

Yeap...despite my relentless protesting against the immoral shopping spree, the much-talked-abt loots will soon be arriving in Spore thru she-thot-so-carefully-guarded planning via the darkest and most complex undergrd channels, just to avoid my sherlock-holmes' instincts, detection and sharp-prying eyes.

But..ha...according to my sources, there r abt 10 items consisting of mostly Chanel handbags and apparels. I hv gathered all gang members to infiltrate this undergrd organisation, raid their base and eliminate all unworldly possessions. This intricately co-ordinated operation with micro-precision will be coded 'Desert-Chanel-Storm'.

P/S: As heavy artillery and air-raid r expected. Public r advised to remain at home at all time. Civil defense sirens will not be activated prior to the operation.

Geees... what is wrong ppl nowadays?! Living in a bigger house but are inconsiderate and hv a peanut-sized-social-etiquettes.

Slamming the doors a gazillion times in the nite and not to mention dragging heavy furniture & grown-ups stomping ard in the hse like crazy children. Am just wondering...wht is with these dragging of massive furniture? Deciding to change the Feng-shui every 5 mins?!!

Perhaps, these uncivilised and uncultured neighbours are the main cause to my fever :(

Speaking of which, they r still operating the antique air-con from the 70's...i wont even call it an air-con. They r more like AIR-BOMBERs! Emitting high magnitude decibels that can even kill mosquitoes by its sheer intensity!

Please....can some1 rescue me from these torments!

My temperature rocketed to 39.8 celsius yesterday and had gotten daddy & mummy so worried that they rushed me to KKH.

Doctor did a series of checks on my throat and ear canals and even ordered a urine sample to be taken for analysis for UTI and stomach flu inflections.

This is where i staged an episode of 'Crying Powerpuff Girl' drama... starred none other than moi, de diva of the 21 century...hiak hiakkk. I gave my 110% of crying and vomiting for best cinematic effects. Am losing so much body fluid thru my tear-ducts that my folks got no luck in collecting my urine sample.... till 4am this morning. Heehee..daddy had to rush to KKH with the sample for the doctors to analyse.

Deraaatata.... *drumming*.... the result is Negative....yippee :)

Just common viral fever and shd be gone by 5 to 7 days....i hope :)

1st Birthday

It was an extremely beautiful Sunday morning... where bees hymn, butterflies dance and birds chirp. And yes i am offically 1 year old :)

Though there isn't any swinging birthday party with bubbly champagnes and no colorful confetti thrown but i am happy...in fact, i am very happy cos i know my parents love me, my grandparents adore me, aunties, uncles, jie-jies and ge-ges shower me with lots of care and attention.

I wanna thank you all for the relentless love and care rendered for the past 1 years and many more to come... 'Xie xie da jia de ai' :")

FM is dress watch... and i need a mechanical column-wheel chronograph (with a self-winding calibre) that is a classic signature of Haute Horlogerie watches and it comes with alligator strap & buckle..."

I now can point to these when asked: tummy (mine), mirror (the one on our living room's feature wall), Winnie The Pooh (the stuffed toy in my cot), Piggy (my favourite stuffed toy in my room), and butterfly (the printed ones on our toilet paper roll).

I can also: jump/clap/high-five/kiss mummy (this is clearly mummy's favourite of all the things I can do) or daddy on command, stick out my tongue if you ask me: "Where is your tongue?", pat mummy's tummy if she asks: "Where is baby?", and touch my romper's snap closure if mummy says: "Mummy will remove your clothes first before pomp-pomp (bath)", and gives daddy his handphone back when asked (but strangely not anything else).

Words uttered so far: ah, pa, da, mum, oo-air, and eh (especially when calling out to grandpa). Oh yes, I can also make a whistling sound by sucking in air with my mouth shaped like an "O".

Today is a day jam packed with activities - daddy and I accompanied mummy to her prenatal checkup in the morning followed by a trial swimming lesson at aquaDucks in the afternoon.

The swimming class was really enjoyable. I got to meet new friends and daddy and I got to wet our hair and had a great bonding session together (I was literally clinging to him for my dear life in the water).

For the first time, I committed a fashion faux pas (in front of my suitably dressed classmates, no less) - I went into the pool with my regular romper - the class was a last-minute arrangement so mummy hasn't got round to buying me a swimming costume.

Whilst waiting for the Leapfrog LittleTouch LeapPad Learning System to arrive from the US, mummy bought 3 Polo Ralph Lauren rompers for baby E, a Philips Avent Isis iQ Duo Twin Electronic Breast Pump (that costs USD250!), and a few other random baby stuffs online.

Poor daddy must be so kicking himself now. He is the one that showed mummy how the computer, and more importantly, the Internet, works. Now, she spends an average of $800 a month on online shopping ALONE. Doh!

Daddy did this for me because I had been such an angel and was at my best behaviour for the entire day. We first went for lunch at the Changi Beach Club, then shopping at Tampines Mall (so that mummy can stock up on wet wipes and cereal for me), and the day ended with dinner at grandma's place.

Picture was taken before we left home. The day is especially memorable as it was my first outing with mummy and daddy, sans aunty Lani (mummy's helper), who was out enjoying her day off.

What mummy saw made her heart sank to the floor - I was lying on the floor on all fours and bawling my eyes out. I cried till I emptied my morning feed on mummy, and could only stopped when daddy presented me with a teether when he came to clean my sick. These adults! Don't they know better than leaving a baby unattended?

My First CNY!

Sorry for the long hiatus but mummy has been feeling really tired these days. Given that I pay her in tears, turd, snot and spittle, I really can't drive the poor woman too hard.

My first CNY went great though my anxiety around strangers meant that I didn't do very well at home visits. I cried at all my three home visits and wouldn't allow anyone except for mummy to come near me. That aside, everything else was great fun, I had new clothes to wear, tasted Mandarin Orange, Sea Cucumber, Fish Maw and grand aunt's Tiramisu for the first time!

Here's me in my first pair of Levi's on the third day of CNY, with a Fox romper (a gift from mummy's friend, aunty Carolyn) and a Gymboree headband.

First morning in my new house. Mummy and daddy let out a huge sigh of relief when they saw how well I was adapting to the new environment.

Despite all odds, we moved in the disguise of darkness (it was 8pm when we reached the new house).

Mummy and daddy, after spending a day on their knees scrubbing and getting the house ready, are just glad that they have crossed the second hurdle (the first being moving our things from the old to the new house).

The next hurdle, will be unpacking the two and a half truckloads of things we have hauled from our old house. It's tiring just thinking of it, according to mummy. She and daddy should really be easier on themselves since it was no mean feat moving house TWICE in a week. WITH a baby in tow. Mummy, big hugs to you and daddy.

Mummy went here and bought this Miu Miu bag to match the Nouvelle Horlogerie Calabrese Fl'ora daddy gave her three months into her pregnancy, since the adjustable leather strap was more forgiving on her then swollen wrist.

Suffice to say that the amount she spent was large enough for the credit card company to come a-calling to verify the transaction.

Humph, I just hope she's not whittling away my college fund.

Daddy took a look around and spoke mummy's mind when he said You think we should put up at another place for a week? Mummy, choked with emotions (and feeling overwhelmed with the amount of cleaning needed) , simply nodded.

We all ended up at aunty Fion's house that night, unannounced. Turned out that she will be away for a holiday - and leaving town that night - so we can use her house for the week! Can you believe our good fortune?

I sometimes think mummy suffers from OCD. She has a weird habit of making sure that hangers in our wardrobes are spaced out equally, the dollar notes in her wallet have the same facing, things taken out of their storage place be returned to where they are kept (Everything has its place, she always says), folded clothes are of the same size and have straight corners, fluffing AND removing lint from our sofa cushions with a sticky tape so that the couch will look "inviting" (to whom, mummy? You and daddy are the only ones that sit on that couch!). Her system of categorising and sorting things is so complex that one will need a GPS to navigate through.

The way I see it, daddy seems to have it easy. His dirty dishes will be swiftly (and quietly, nary a word of protest from mummy) removed from the table, bedside table, or where ever he chooses to have his meal. And if he ever lightly mention that he is thirsty, mummy will scurry off to the kitchen to fetch him a glass of water pronto. The latter act, I feel, is not an act of OCD, but one of love

My First Christmas!

Christmas morning - we went handphone shopping for daddy. Mummy bought him a Nokia N81 as a Christmas present.

What I wore for the shopping trip - pink Luvable Friends sleepsuit accessorised with bib made with 100% organic Egyptian cotton (a gift from grand aunt for my full month celebration).

Later that day, while playing with the recording function on his new phone, daddy recorded my first word! Can you guess what it is? Hint: I was wearing a Daddy's Little Girl romper.

This isn't what you think it is. In case you are wondering, I DIDN'T eat my soiled diaper! Grandma bought this for me so that I can have my two meals of solids a day, without mummy having to prepare them from scratch, during our weekend stay at the Pulai Springs Resort.

The stay with grandma, mummy, daddy, aunty Lani, my two aunties and their families went great. Needless to say, everyone was totally smitten by my saccharine-sweet smile and charming personality by the end of our stay.

Daddy, this organic beef mash is really yummy *slurp* but you are feeding me waaay too slowly. Let me do it myself *lunge forward to grab the spoon*
